Students at the Turkeyen Campus of the University of Guyana are back on the protest line. This time demanding value for their monies after being forced to pay an increase in tuition among other concerns.

The students were drawn from most of the facilities at the Campus chanting what they wanted to be addressed by the University’s administration.

The likelihood of a tuition increase, late grades and proper learning facilities are few of the concerns being raised by the students.

This morning (April 4) the University of Guyana Student Society (UGSS) organized a picketing demonstration at the main Admission building at the University.

UGSS President Joshua Griffith told the students that the time has come for them to be heard saying the revolution will never end until students can be finally comfortable.

The struggle at the University is also being experienced by newly elected Georgetown Deputy Mayor, Sherod Duncan who is a final year Communication Student.

News Room also spoke to several other students who expressed frustration over the current state of UG as they try to develop themselves academically.
