A man was this afternoon killed on the spot after he was struck down by a forty foot container truck on Sheriff Street, which later rolled over his head.
The man, according to persons, begs for food and was moments before his death seen begging at a fast food outlet.
It was after someone purchased a soft drink for him that he attempted to cross the road and was killed.
