Moments ago, a North East La Penitence businessman who has been identified as David Sooknandand was shot to his left foot during an armed robbery. News Room understands that the perpetrators were attempting to rob the man’s grocery shop.
Mr Sooknandand has been rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital and is being treated for his injuries. This not the first time that the man’s business was the subject of robbery. The injured man only recently buried his wife he died who died as a result of a heart attack.
