The Guyana Police Force is reporting that during yesterday Monday May 02, 2016, acting on information received, ranks conducted a search on a house at Eteringbang Landing, during which 86 grammes of cocaine were found.
A woman has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Meanwhile, About 21:10hrs last night, Monday May 02, 2016, Rawle De Mattos, 45 years, of Free Yard, Port Mourant, was about to enter his premises when he was held up by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun and the other with a cutlass.
De Mattos put up a resistance during which he was chopped to his head. He has been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital.
The perpetrators took away a cell phone and $6,000 and escaped.
Investigations are in progress.
