“Skinny’s” associates wanted for Casino robbery

Two very close associates of now dead notorious Agricola Gang member Jermaine Charles called ‘’Skinny’’ are being sought after by the police in connection with the daring Friday morning robbery of the Casino at the Ramada Georgetown Princess Hotel.

 

 

 

 

The News Room was reliably informed that a brother of ‘’Skinny’’ along with another man are top on the police radar as the investigation continues.

 

 

 

 

Speaking with Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum on Monday evening, it was related that the investigation into the robbery is far from over even as he admitted that several persons, who were initially picked up, including several females have been released and at the moment there are only three persons in custody.

 

 

 

 

The investigation which is now being spearheaded by the Major Crimes Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department, has been able to recover a large amount of the stolen cash, after police swooped down on a premises at Vreed -en- Hoop on Sunday.

 

 

 

 

It was the News Room which first reported that the casino robbery was an inside job, as the first suspect who was caught on the same morning of the robbery, communicated to police that they were able to rob the Casino because they received inside assistance.

 

 

 

 

Tomorrow, May 3, the police will be seeking legal advice on the way forward with respect to the charges for the three persons in custody and the News Room was told by Blanhum that the Police Force is confident that they have sufficient evidence to bring the charges against the men.

 

 

 

 

 

The Crime Chief said that the men in custody are known to them and have criminal records.

On Friday last, heavily armed bandits stormed the Casino and robbed the patrons and staff making off with cash and jewellery, among other things
