US Embassy to host free concert in Promenade Gardens on May 23
The U.S. Embassy, along with the Canadian High Commission, and the Global Friendships Foundation, are sponsoring a free public concert at the Promenade Gardens on Monday, May 23rd at 1800 hours in celebration of the Golden Jubilee.
The concert, billed as The Family Reunion, is aimed at reconnecting persons traveling from the diaspora of the U.S., Canada, and other countries with their friends and family in Guyana.

Each of the performances will include a Guyanese-centric focus, some of the songs being composed specifically for the 50thAnniversary of Independence.
Gates will open at 1800 and performances will begin at 1900 sharp. Food, beverages, and 50th anniversary souvenirs will be on sale.
