Guyoil/Trade Winds contribute $2M to Covent Garden Primary for building of music room

The corner stone for the Covent Garden Primary School was laid on May 26, 1966 and as such is celebrating with the nation its 50th anniversary. It was built by persons in the community as an independence project to accommodate students in the community, rather than them having to travel to Providence Primary.

As is known, the Ministry of Education has reinforced music as an important aspect of a child’s overall development and to this end the PTA thought it fitting to mark this important occasion by embarking on a project to build a music room in the school’s compound.

In answer to this call, Guyoil in association with Trade Winds has gladly undertaken to fund this project to the tune of over $2M

Guyoil sees this as another example of partnership in projects that bring benefit the community at large and positively contribute to the overall development of citizens and Guyanese as a whole.
