23 year old mechanic found murdered in bedroom

Investigators are presently searching the Soesdyke area for a male or female who they suspect may have murdered mechanic Puranand Baljit, 23 years, of Lot 57 Madewini, Soesdyke  at approximately 21:30hrs on Thursday evening.

 

 

The young man, the News Room learnt was found in his bedroom in a pool of blood shortly after he and his family retired to bed in their two bedroom single flat house.

 

 

According to police sources  the man who lived with his mother and father. Screams and tumbling were heard coming from the man’s room,which was locked from the inside and their efforts to gain entry were futile.

 

 

The man’s father then decided to venture outside where he made his entry into the young man’s bedroom through an open window, however he found his son lying in a pool of blood.

The man was quickly picked up and rushed to the Diamond Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

 

 

The body of the man was later found to have sustained stab wounds to the left and right side chest, under his armpit and his left shoulder. The police also recovered a 1 inch knife inside the man’s room.

 

 

Sources could not confirm if the knife is one that belonged to the same house the man lived or if it belonged to his attacker(s) .

The police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
