One person is so far in custody for the murder of Puranand Andrew Baljit of Madewini East Bank Demerara.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Saturday night disclosed that investigations have so far revealed that robbery was the motive for the murder.
The police assured that diligent investigations will soon result in those responsible for the murder of the 23 year old mechanic, being brought to justice.
The body of Puranand Baljit was murdered around 21:00hrs on Thursday, June, 09, 2016. His body was discovered by his parents, in his room, in a pool of blood. He was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
