The Guyana Police Force is reporting that three persons have been charged with respect to the seizure of cocaine in frozen fish at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport on June 8, 2016.
Twenty-seven year old Shafaur Alli and Lazena Imrazie, both of La Jalousie, WCD were charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and were remanded until July 06, 2016.
Meanwhile, forty-three year old Tazim Gafoor, a businessman, of Windsor Forest, WCD, was charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the said matter.
He pleaded not guilty and was placed on $200,000.00 bail. The case was also postponed to July 06, for trial.
