73-year-old Theodore Adams, a gold miner is now dead and his reputed wife hospitalised, after he shot the woman in her mouth before turning the gun and shooting himself in the head.
Hospitalised is 42-year-old Sarojini Warnauth.
The incident took place at lot 24,North Road Lacytown Georgetown on Wednesday night.
It is unclear if the two persons have any children together but the man is said to be a father of three children.
The deceased man operated a mining camp in the Mazaruni district.
