Around 2:55 hrs this morning, Mark English of 992 Providence, East Bank Demerara (E.B.D) was robbed of $30,000.00 cash at the corner of Cemetery Road and Durban Street, Georgetown.
Investigations revealed that the alleged Robbery under Arms was committed on the 31-year-old when he went to a shop to make a purchase.
The victim said he was approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun discharged, several rounds at the victim, hitting him in his left leg.
He managed to drive to a city hospital where he underwent surgery and was admitted.
According to the police, his condition is regarded as stable.
The suspects have not yet been arrested.
