Roraima Airways awards CSEC top performer

Guyana’s top candidate for the 2016 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Examination, Fatima Karim was today awarded a trip for two (2) to Arrowpoint Nature Resort, the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana Presidents Award “Resort of the Year”, a trip to Kaieteur Falls and an Aerial Tour of Georgetown.

 

Karim who achieved 19 grade ones and one grade two at the examination received the prizes from Roraima Airways.

The handing over of the prize was done in the television studio of the National Communications Network, Home Stretch Avenue on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in the presence of her mother, Human Resources Manager of Roraima Airways, Glenis Archer and other members of the Roraima Management team.

 

Presenting the certificate of prizes was Lashaun Berkley, Roraima’s newest female Co Pilot.

 

According to the company, “the awarding of these prizes to Fatima Karim is a token of Roraima’s appreciation for a job. In so doing, Roraima Airways recommits itself to supporting the education of our young people.”

 

On receipt of the award of prizes, Fatima expressed her gratitude to Roraima Airways and shared her aspiration of becoming a Petroleum Engineer so that she can give back to her country with pride.
