A Money Changer was around 9:50 hrs this morning shot and robbed at the Georgetown Ferry Stelling.
The man identified as Mahindra (only name given) was exiting a speed boat at the stelling when the gunmen approached him and took away an undisclosed sum of money, but not before shooting him to his abdomen.
Mahindra was heading to America Street, where he plies his trade.
According to eyewitnesses, the Tuesday morning shooting happened within minutes and it was the sound of a gunshot and the sight of a man falling to the ground that sent the usually busy morning crowd running in all directions.
Mahindra was then rushed to the Georgetown public hospital where he was admitted.
