Rural Constable stumbles upon several rounds of ammo in bushes

Members of the Criminal Investigations Department (C.I.D) are currently conducting investigations in connection with the discovery of several rounds of ammunition in New Amsterdam.

 

According to information reaching the News Room, a Rural Constable who was assigned to conduct duties in the Caracas/Mi Mi dam, Angoy’s Avenue area was on patrol at about 10:00 hours on Monday, September 05, 2016 when he stumbled upon the items.

 

The officer found a brown bag with a silver material protruding and upon conducting further checks, it was revealed that the bag contained 18 live rounds. The bag was removed and sealed in an envelop before it was taken to the Central Police Station in New Amsterdam.

 

So far no arrests have been made in connection with the discovery, but investigations are in progress.
