The young man’s mother, Sadit Persaud recalled that her son was acting a bit odd prior to the incident.

She noted that he, however, left for work around 15:30 hours and returned at 17:00 hours. He subsequently departed for Bath Settlement, WCB and returned drunk the grieving mother related.

“He was playing the music set and a television set really loud,” she added, after which she asked him to lower the volume but the teen who was highly intoxicated refused.

News Room was told that moments later, the teen’s stepfather went in search of him but he was greeted with the gruesome discovery of the teen hanging by a rope from the roof of the veranda.

The teen was rushed to the Fort Wellington Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. A report was later made at the Blairmont Police Station.

However, it is still unclear as to why the teen would want to end his life.
