BREAKING NEWS: Teenager arrested, confesses to murder

Acting on information received, detectives in ‘A’ Division swooped down on a location in Albouystown this afternoon (Thursday, September 22, 2016) and arrested a 19-year-old for the June 3, 2016, murder of Orrett West.

News Room has been reliably informed that 19-year-old Kevin Garraway was arrested at a house in Albouystown. He has reportedly confessed to the murder.

 

The young man reportedly told detectives that he and the 28-year-old father of one of Tucville Terrace were engaged in an argument at around 00:30hrs when the man struck him to the head with a bottle.

 

The suspect who is presently being interrogated at the Sparendaam Police Station told the police that as a result of the hit to his head, he whipped out a knife and stabbed the man to his neck before fleeing the location.

 

The two were among dozens of other persons who were imbibing on the Plaisance line Top at the popular Thursday evening Guinness Bar Street jam.

 

West was stabbed in the full view of his female partner who provided a full description of the suspect, however, the suspect went into hiding.

 

The man was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
