Linden Brothers killed in East Bank Smashup

Two brothers were on Saturday killed in an accident on the East Bank Demerara.

 

Dead are Jonnel Armstrong and his Brother Phillip Armstrong of Linden.

 

According to information reaching the News Room, the three young men were travelling in a Rav-4 with registration plate PLL 9830 when it came into contact with a motor lorry GNN 5355 along the Friendship Public Road.

 

A third person, whose name was only given as Devon was also involved in the accident and is presently in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was transferred to, from the Diamond Hospital.

 

The circumstances surrounding the accident are unclear at this point, however, the News Room was able to confirm that both vehicles were proceeding in separate directions at the time of the incident. Police sources have indicated to News Room that the crash took place just off a turn in the vicinity of Friendship.

 

The Linden brothers are said to be the sons of Region Ten Health Officer, Dr Pansy Armstrong and popular Linden dentist Dr Joseph Armstrong.
