A twenty-five year old Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, resident who was sentenced in absentia for five years, was early this morning arrested by ranks of the Guyana Police Force.
The man is charged with robbery under arms and unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.
However, before the convicted man is taken to the prison to serve his sentence, he has to face two additional charges for possession of arms and ammunition.
During the search of his house, where he was arrested, ranks found an unlicensed 9mm Ruger semi-automatic pistol with seven matching rounds.
