A 23- year-old Linden resident was today remanded to prison, after being charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
According to the Guyana Police Force, Kyretha Sultan, a bartender, of Lot 70 Amelia’s Ward, Linden, was yesterday morning nabbed at the Itaballi Check Point, by ranks of the Guyana Police Force, with four hundred and seventy- nine grams of cannabis sativa (marijuana)
The defendant appeared before Magistrate D. Best at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court, pleaded not guilty and was remanded until November 24, 2016, for trial.
