Passenger excreting cocaine pellets nabbed at CJIA

A resident of West Demerara who has been on the police’s radar for some time now, is under police guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital, excreting cocaine pellets, after being nabbed at the Check-in Area of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).

According to a police report, the 46-year-old man was nabbed at about 14:00hrs on Wednesday as he was attempting to travel to the USA.

His transporter, a 35-year-old taxi driver also of West Demerara was taken into custody.

The 46-year-old has so far excreted 61 of the 91 cocaine pellets which have been detected via X-ray.

The amount retrieved thus far amounted to 444 grams.
