The affairs of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) will once again be steered by a K.A. Juman Yassin-led executive, which was voted into office at the elections on Wednesday afternoon at the GOA newly built office at Liliendaal.

The former Chief Magistrate, who had come under severe scrutiny by some sections of the press during the last year, was elected unopposed to head the association for another four-year term.

The 69-year-old has held the position since 1996. Yassin will have Charles Corbin, Dr Karen Pilgrim and Godfrey Munroe as his Vice-presidents, while Hector Edwards will continue as Secretary General, with Deion Nurse the Assistant Secretary.

Garfield Wiltshire has also been elected to serve another term as Treasurer, while Tricia Fieldtkou is the Assistant Treasurer.
