The police on Thursday (January 05, 2017) evening caught a fourth suspect in connection with the murder of former murder accused, Orin David called ‘Malik’ who was gunned down in front of his home at Laing Avenue back in August 2016.
Police sources told the News Room that at approximately 23:30hrs on Thursday evening, after receiving intelligence, ranks proceeded to Victor and Norton Street in the vicinity of Lodge where they arrested the 20-year-old suspect.
As the ranks approached, they realised that he tossed a bag overboard and upon checking, they discovered that it contained five rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The police have been looking for the man in connection with the murder of Orin David.
This is after they had initially arrested and charged the trigger man with the murder last year.
Three other persons were picked up in December after they returned from Suriname. After their accomplices were arrested and charged, the three fled to Suriname to evade the police but decided to return to spend the Christmas with their respective families when they were caught after the police acted on information received.
Orin David was shot after an argument ensued between him and a man who he paid a $150,000 bail for in 2015 after the man was charged and placed before the courts.
David, prior to the shooting had approached the man on numerous occasions seeking a refund of his bail money.
