Questions are now being raised about whether Marcus Bisram could have played a role in the death of a wealthy United States citizen, whose assets Bisram managed to acquire through a signed will following the man’s death.
Real Estate Agent and Nightlife promoter Fahir Azeez, Community Activist and Teacher, Chuck Mohan and Retired New York Police Department (NYPD), Captain Joseph Concannon were part of a panel in the United States recently where a definitive question was put to them.
Lakshmee Singh, host of “Let’s Talk”, a show filmed in the United States asked “So this is a heavily loaded question here, do you think authorities should investigate whether he was involved in the death of his partner?”
Azeez first responded suggesting that there is no need at this point to investigate if Bisram contributed to the death of the man he cared for several years ago but rather the focus should be the family in Guyana who is looking for justice.
“I think they need to focus on what the case is first before going and dig up the guy’s whole past and there is nothing there focus on what’s being taking place focus on what you have in front of you, was he responsible for the murder in Guyana or not. As for the person that he was taking care of, deal with that after there is a family that needs justice for their son who was killed” Fahir Azeez.
However Mohan in his response explained that looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of the US citizen a few years back is important to the investigation in Guyana as there could be another family somewhere in the United States crying for justice just as the family in Guyana.
“There are questions there that could be answered by the authorities over here and then it will become two-fold, they will be after him over here if they find anything and they will be after him in Guyana for the other thing. You are saying it’s in the past but its relevant it will always be relevant because of what is happening now it might have been irrelevant if nothing never happened but now there are is a lot of questions and those questions need to be answered” Chuck Mohan.
The former NYPD Captain in his response believes that there is nothing wrong with tying the investigations since it could implicate possible other players apart from Bisram, if indeed the man he cared for and once called his partner died under suspicious circumstances.
“They have a person who has been murdered and that case is open and that case needs to proceed not necessarily based on this other individual they need to take the case wherever it leads it may lead them to him it may lead them to six of his colleagues or two of his employees or it may think them to a number of different areas and if eventually the evidence points to him, then sure they are going to have to take him down” Joseph Concannon said.
Several persons were placed on remand for the murder of the 27-year old Carpenter after they were charged with murder. The police then issued wanted bulletin for Marcus Bisram to answer charges for the said murder but he continues to live a somewhat free live outside of Guyana.
Bisram was reportedly named by those on remand, as the mastermind behind the killing. His mother and sister were also charged for attempting to pervert the course of justice when then they offered the police a bribe of four million Guyana dollars to bring the investigation to an end.
