BREAKING NEWS: Teenage murder suspect caught fleeing to interior

The police acting on information late Tuesday (January 10, 2017), nabbed a 17-year-old male who is accused of murdering 39-year-old Estate worker, Kawal Shivnauth.
Kawal was stabbed to death on Monday (January 09, 2017) evening and found lying on the roadway near a shop at Anna Catherina on the West Coast Demerara (W.C.D).
On Tuesday, the police caught the teenager in the Amerindian Community of Matthews Ridge where he was hiding out.
He was reportedly attempting to make his way deeper into the interior location of Guyana.
It is reported that the victim and the suspect were involved in an altercation when the stabbing incident took place.
It was reported that the victim was about to exit the business at Anna Catherina when the suspect advanced towards him and reportedly lashed him to the head while another man advanced to him and stabbed him several times about the body.
At the Lenora Cottage Hospital, the suspect was pronounced dead on arrival.
The teen today (Wednesday, January 11, 2017) arrived at the Eugene E Correia Airport where he was placed into a police vehicle and then escorted to the Criminal Investigation Department where he was processed and then transferred to the Police ‘D’ Division.
