Toy Gun bandits identified, teenager included

The two males who were caught on Tuesday afternoon in the act of robbing a shopper with a toy gun have been identified.

The News Room confirmed that among them is a 16-year-old from East Ruimveldt, Georgetown and also North East La Penitence.

The second bandit has been identified as a 24-year-old young man of Utivlutgh on the West Coast Demerara (W.C.D).

The two were caught while robbing a fruit vendor at the corners of Cummings Street and North Road with a gun which appeared real but actually turned out to be a toy gun.

They were caught red-handed by members of the presidential guard service. One was captured immediately while the other ran away but was subsequently found hiding under some mattresses in a house on Robb Street.
