Police ranks of the Narcotics Branch stationed at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri on Tuesday (January 24, 2017) arrested a female outgoing passenger for possession of cocaine.
According to the police, the bust was made at 06:30hrs as the woman was on a flight to Toronto, Canada.
She was arrested after four parcels of what is suspected to be cocaine was found in her suitcase.
The substance was weighed and amounted to 4,178 grams.
She is currently in custody assisting with the investigation.
