1.4Kg compressed cannabis found on transport vessel
A 23-year-old employee of a public transportation vessel was this morning (Saturday, January 28, 2017) arrested after almost 1.4kg of compressed cannabis was found in a cabin of the said vessel.
According to police information, the man who hails from North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was on the police’s radar for some time.
The discovery was made about 13:30 hrs while the vessel was moored at Port Kaituma, North West District.
The illegal substance was found in three taped parcels.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
