Barbados Pride’s spinners Ashley Nurse and Sulieman Benn combined for seven wickets to consign ICC Americas to their second defeat of the Super50 on Saturday in Barbados.

Nurse bagged 4-26 and Benn 3-20 to follow their four-wicket hauls against Guyana Jaguars, as ICC Americas were dismissed for 103 in just 34.2 overs.

Kamou Leverock was ICC Americas’ top scorer with 21. Pride’s batsmen then made easily work of the target, coasting to 105-2, winning with as many as 21 overs to spare. It was the Pride’s second win in as many games.

Opener Kraigg Braithwaite, fresh off a hundred against Jaguars, stroked an unbeaten 43, while Jonathon Carter made 24 not out. Opener Anthony Alleyne scored 27 in an opening partnership of 49 with Brathwaite, while Shai Hope was the other batsman to be dismissed for six.

The other game in Group B, a day/night affair between Guyana Jaguars and the Combined Campuses and Colleges, is currently in progress.
