Digicel’s Head of Marketing, Jacqueline James says this year the company is focusing on charities.

“We’re focusing on giving back to the community so that will be our main thing for our anniversary celebrations this month,” Ms. James said.

The boys at the Orphanage were given books, pencils, backpacks, shoes and other school supplies, some bearing the Digicel logo.

In addition to boys’ packages, the home was given a donation of a washing machine, which Ms. James says she is sure that administrator and staff “will make very good use of.”

For the next 10 days, the Digicel team will be traveling to 10 different charities around the country including schools that cater to persons with disabilities.
