With Mashramani just mere weeks away, the management at Palm Court is wasting no time in seizing the chance to invite patrons to what is expected to be the largest and most exhilarating Mash Costume Band of the year.

In fact, the management of the hottest entertainment spot in Guyana is teaming up with Corona Beer and Guyana’s most sensual entertainer Timeka Marshall to ensure that the event is second to none.

Going by the name, The Trinity band, represents nothing but pure magnificence and excitement. It was first introduced the nation during the 2016 Christmas season with a show that was certainly a taste of what is to come on February 23.

If you missed it, then you unfortunately missed an occasion of epic proportions. The launch of the costume and band saw jaw-dropping performances from Guyana’s energy god, Jumo, the sultry diva Timeka Marshall and the Queen of Bacchanal Destra.

The Queen of Bacchanal, Destra was of course the highlight of that event with her hyped performance that had the crowd entranced and begging for more. The “Lucy” songstress had the crowd screaming from the time she stepped on stage. The Trinidadian Soca singer then had the crowd very much entertained with her well rounded performance which exhibited a mixture of Soca songs and a bit of dancehall.

It was no surprise, when this “Dip N’ Ride” singer invited a male patron on stage. The excited young man who wasted no time in getting the opportunity to be on stage with this female Soca legend, showed how the Indian Guyanese men can really perform on the dance floor. He ended up entertaining the Queen of Bacchanal much to her satisfaction.

According to Events and Marketing Manager Sasha Lewis, the launch is just a hint of the pleasure and entertainment that can be expected on mash day. As for the grand costumes, she noted that Jason Shurland is the official designer.

Shurland shared that the costumes are all of different styles and quality, so that persons can get a feel of what a “Guyanese Carnival” can be like. The costumes which were displayed beautifully at the launching were all a representation of what Guyana has to offer in terms of its rich and splendid flora and fauna. He noted too that Indian and African styles were also moulded into the costumes as well as the Indigenous People’s famous headdress with a bounty of feathers.

To ensure that confidence, sensuality and matchless originality were captured to perfection, Lewis and Marshall worked along closely with the designer on the costumes. Together, they combined their ideas so as to produce mind-blowing pieces for Mash 2017.  Lewis also stated that the entity during the conceptualization of the costumes ensured that all body types were catered for.

The Events Manager explained that the name of the band is called Trinity to aptly represent the collaboration between Marshall, Corona Beer and Palm Court.

She said that the main sponsors of the event include BM Soat, D&D Pawn shop, Corona Beer, Ticket Master and Prem’s Electrical.

The Events Manager also noted that the packages are $40,000 and pre-sold packages cost $30,000. She said that a layaway option is also available.

Lewis also provided some information on the packages. They include; entry to Truck, Premium Drinks, Male or Female Costume, Food, and entry to the wickedest Mashramani after party.
