The Guyana National Referees Council (GNRC) has received a donation of gears from the New Guyana Pharmaceutical Corporation Inc. (NEW GPC), made under the company’s ‘EXCITE’ brand.
NEW GPC’s Marketing and International Sales Associate, Elizabeth Ram, presented the items to President of the GNRC and Executive Committee Member of the Guyana Football Federation Inc., Dion Inniss. The donation consisted of 80 shirts, 40 shorts, socks and warm-up tops, and will aid referees’ training and other physical activities, including fitness tests.
In an invited comment, Head of the Referees Department, Stanley Lancaster, lauded the company for the timely gesture, noting it was done at a point when the Council is expanding its membership. He noted the interest and the confidence that the company has in the football fraternity, which was demonstrated in its continued support and sponsorship.
The NEW GPC Inc. is a household name in Guyana, and according to the company’s website, it is the Caribbean’s oldest and largest pharmaceutical manufacturer of generic pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter preparations of the highest quality.
