Corentyne mechanic attacked and robbed by armed bandits

Three armed bandits are on the run after they attacked and robbed a Corentyne mechanic at his home of an undisclosed sum of cash and a gold chain.
The incident took place yesterday (Monday, February 07,2017) around 01:10 hours.
News Room understands that the victim who was identified as 30 year old Davindon Reddy of Hampshire Village, Corentyne, Berbice was packing up after a birthday celebration at his home when he was attacked by the three men, two of whom were armed with shot guns.
According to a police source, Reddy was packing drinks cases when three men jumped his fence and grabbed him while demanding cash and other valuables.
Reddy told the police that one of the men hit him to his head with one of the shot guns and he became fearful for his life and handed over a gold chain and his wallet containing an undisclosed sum of cash.
He recalled that he could not identify the men as they had a black piece of cloth tied around their mouth.
Following the ordeal, the men escaped and the police were called in but were unable to apprehend the suspects.
The police in B Division are currently hunting for the three men.
