‘All In One’ Snack and Beverage Depot, through the popular iCool Fruit Juice Drink, will make its maiden appearance at GT Motorsports when the second monthly Endurance Rental Cup is staged on February 22 at the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club headquarters, Albert Street and Thomas Lands.

On Friday afternoon, the company confirmed its exclusive sponsorship of a three-member team, comprising Caribbean Superbike champion Matthew Vieira, Superstock champion Elliott Vieira and race car driver Marcel Proffit, who will compete in the 500lb Class of the event.

During a simple contract signing ceremony at ‘All in One’ Snack and Beverage Depot at Lot 8 North Road, Matthew Vieira was present to ink his name on the contract on behalf of the team, in the presence of Director Jonathan Parmanand and company representative, Wesley Chang.

Parmanand, speaking on behalf of iCool, welcomed Vieira and his team as representatives of the brand, noting that they are excited to be part of the newest hit in town- competitive go-kart racing.

“Please come out and support, it will be a great event. We will be sharing out some iCool and we do look forward in the future to sponsor motor-racing, and I wish Matthew Vieira and his team good luck. And remember, if you have to drink and drive, please drink an iCool and be a champion like Matthew Vieira,” Parmanand said.

Vieira, who is a huge fan of iCool’s Fruit Punch flavour, expressed gratitude to ‘All in One’ and the iCool brand for hopping onboard with the team, adding that they will put in their best effort come race day.

“I’m very excited and I hope that the relationship will last very long. I hope the team perform as expected. I think we have a very good team and we will perform very well. I just want to say good luck (to the other team) because we’re coming to win,” a confident Vieira stated.

Sponsored by Secure Innovations and Concepts, Auto Fashion, Monster Energy Drink and Karcher, the Endurance Rental Cup, which is set to usher in Guyana’s 47th Republic anniversary, is set to speed off at 19:00h and will follow a similar format to the inaugural competition held on January 25.

Once again, teams will have a maximum of three drivers, who will compete in two weight classes. There will be a 500lb Class and a 600lb Class, meaning that the combined weight of the three drivers will have to reach those limits.

Each driver will race for 20 minutes, at the end of which the team with most number of laps after an hour will be declared champions of the respective categories.

The entrance fee per team is $60,000 ($20,000 per person), and interested teams can inbox GT Motorsports on Facebook to access additional information and register for the event. January’s ‘Endurance Rental Cup’ was a massive success with a large turnout of spectators and drivers at the newly minted facility.

Team Gizmos and Gadgets/Guinness, comprising Matthew Phang, John Phang and Steven Nobrega, created history by copping the 500lb Class with 87 laps, while Team Heineken, with the likes of John Maikoo, Vishal Sawh and Raymond Seebarran, won the 600lb Class by being the first team to complete 86 laps after the mandatory 60 minutes expired.
