The Education Ministry is advising parents that the Nursery Department is preparing for the enrolment of children into Nursery School and Nursery to Primary School.
The Ministry says registration forms are available at Nursery Schools nationwide. Registration will be done simultaneously for both levels.
Distribution of application forms commenced on February 27 and concludes on March 10, the submission will be from March 13 to 31, processing from April 3 to 31 and confirmation of allocation and distribution of allocation letters is scheduled for May 2 through June 7.
The appeals period is set for July through to August and parental sessions by cluster will begin in March and conclude in August.
Importantly, for entry into Nursery School, a child has to be born on or before June 30 in the year of his/her third birthday for admission.
The Ministry said for the child, attending school for the first time may be a challenge and having witnessed children crying or being redrawn on their first day at school; it will be hosting a series of workshops (March/August period) with parents to enlighten them on the transition from home to school.
These sessions, which will be held nationwide, will cover areas such as autobiographic information and literacy skills, Mathematical concepts and healthy habits.
