The Guyana Chess Federation in collaboration with the Trophy Stall will be hosting a one day FIDE-rated Rapid Chess tournament on Saturday.
This will be the first FIDE Rapid competition to be held in Guyana. The tournament is slated for the National Resource Centre on Woolford Avenue, Georgetown (Opposite GTI).
It will consist of seven rounds. Registration will start at noon, with the first move at 13:00h. A registration fee of $1000 for seniors and $500 for juniors will be charged.
