The police on the West Coast of Demerara moments ago found two AK-47 assault rifles during an operation at Meten-meer-zorg.
The News Room received information that a businessman has since been taken into custody. The suspect’s name was given as Christopher Small.
According to sources, this most recent find may be linked to the AK-47 assault rifle which was smuggled out of the Force’s headquarters just over a week ago.
This latest development brings the number of AK-47 assault rifles found by the police thus far this year to four.
