45 graduate from Guyana Karate College’s CI Dojo

The Guyana Karate College (GKC) Cornelia Ida Dojo continues to make quiet progress, with as many as 45 students graduating at its latest grading, observed by key members of the GKC. 

Present at the grading exercise to observe the young boys and girls in action was IKD Chief Instructor, 9th Dan Shusekei Shihan Master Frank Woon-a-Tai, among others from the GKC. 

Also present at the grading exercise were Sensei Aubrey Bettencourt, Sensei Jeffrey Wong and Junior Caribbean and World Cup gold medallist, Tashanna Wong. The Dojo is located in the compound of the Saraswati Vidya Niketan school and students there are under the guidance of Sensei Kenrick Cheeks.

The Dojo is female dominated, ranging from students ranked 8KYU to 2KYU. One outstanding student, who is also teacher at the school, Rajnee Bridjmohan, skipped from 3KYU to 1KYU Brown Belt, accompanied by nine others.

Also moving up to the 2KYU rank were one boy and seven girls. Management of Saraswati Vidya Niketan would like to express congratulations and best wishes to all the students for doing well at the grading.
