The inner circuit of the National Park is the venue for this Saturday’s fourth annual 11-race programme, sponsored by Star Party Rentals.
Set the start at 09:00h, the event is a collaborative effort of the sponsor, national cycling coach Hassan Mohamed and the Carlton Wheelers Cycle Club. The day’s activities will be headlined by the feature 35-lap School Boys and Invitational race, which is open to all categories of riders.
Linden’s Orville Hinds of Team Evolution is the defending champion of the main race, having won last year’s showdown in a time of one hour, 16 minutes, 31.71 seconds.
Raphael Leung was the top rider in the Junior/Juvenile category, while Junior Niles took top honours in the Veterans Under-50. Keon Thomas and Jerome Stephens won the Mountain Bikes and 12-14 Boys and Girls categories respectively.
Officials of the company, including Managing Director and former national cricketer Lennox Cush, are expected the witness the races and later assist in the presentation of prizes.
