Dynamic International Airways’ local partner this evening (Sunday, April 02, 2017) announced the cancellation of flight 2D 402 from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport to the John F. Kennedy International Airport, due to a hydraulic leak on its 767 aircraft.

According to a statement from Chief Executive Officer of the Airline’s partner, Roraima Airways, Gerry Gouveia, “maintenance engineers worked diligently in an effort to correct the problem but were unable to complete their task before nightfall, forcing the cancellation of the flight.”’

However, he noted that the 150 passengers are being offered transportation vouchers to get home and return to the airport on Monday afternoon (April 03, 2017), while passengers from far-flung areas are being offered hotel accommodation and meals.

Another Dynamic aircraft is slated to arrive in Guyana on Monday morning (April 03, 2017), and will facilitate the departure of affected passengers on Monday afternoon.

He added that “Dynamic regrets any inconvenience which this 24-hour delay in departure causes to its passengers.”

This is the first cancellation for 2017 of a Dynamic International Airways flight serving the Guyana route.
