The 12 athletes who attended the CARIFTA Games in Curacao at the weekend will receive scholarships to the University of Guyana.
The announcement was made by Director of Sport, Christopher Jones during his remarks at the National Sports Commission Award ceremony on Friday evening at the Pegasus Hotel.
The CARIFTA team finished with eight medals, four of which were gold, one silver and three bronze.
The team was welcomed home on Friday afternoon with much fanfare after their highly successful run.
