Motorcyclist injured in accident
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an accident which occurred on Eden Road Tucville, Georgetown yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, May 24, 2017).
According to information received, at about 17:30 hours on Wednesday, motorcycle CH1297 owned n driven by 25-year-old Kishan Richard of 3 Durban Street, Lodge, collided with motorcar #HC 5363 owned by Wayne Micheal Mattew and driven by Kimon Duizer of 3090 North Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
Enquiries disclosed that the driver of motor car #HC 5363 was proceeding east on the northern side of Eden Street and after indicating to turn south on his property, observed motorcycle #CH1297 which was proceeding west on the southern side of the road at a fast rate collided with the centre of the motorcar.
As a result of the collision, the driver of motorcycle received injuries to his head. He was picked up by the driver of the motor car in a conscious state and placed in a passing taxi to be taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
He was examined by a doctor on duty who admitted him a patient in the Male Surgical Ward.
The vehicle was lodged at the station while the driver of the motor car was placed in custody.
Further investigations are ongoing.
