A 21-year-old woman who goes by two different names was on Wednesday (May 31, 2017) nabbed at the Bartica Stelling with 1,261 grams of cannabis.
News Room was told that acting on information, police ranks visited the Stelling at about 17:00 hours where they contacted Kelly Nauth also known as Kavita Surujnauth of Parika and conducted a search on a black haversack she was carrying.
The search unearthed one bulky parcel in a black plastic bag wrapped in clear scotch tape. It was opened and found to contain cannabis.
The unemployed woman was arrested and escorted to the station along with the cannabis where it was weighed and amounted to 1kg 261g.
She was told of the offence and cautioned but was unresponsive.
