Cummings Lodge man died from Typhoid, Malaria

A post-mortem was today (Wednesday, June 07, 2017) conducted on the partly decomposed remains of 35-year-old Kevin Dawson which was found at his lot 7 GEC Scheme, Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara, home.

The Post mortem found that he died as a result of Typhoid and Malaria. This assertion was also confirmed by Divisional Commander Calvin Brutus when contacted by the News Room.

The News Room also learnt that his spouse, 28-year-old Cindy Dawson who was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital in an unconscious state is now alert and continues to be monitored by health workers.

According to police sources, the woman related that she came home at the weekend and found the man’s body in the house and she immediately fainted.

On Monday night (June 05, 2017), the police acting on a report of a foul smell coming from the building in Cummings Lodge went to the location to investigate. According to reports, the woman was found lying next to her spouse. She was picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital while the remains of the man was taken to the Lykens Funeral Home.

A police report on Tuesday (June 06, 2017) said the man died between June 03- 05, 2017.

Cindy Dawson is said to be a teacher at a nursery school while the 35-year-old man was a miner.
