Guns, cash and phones stolen as gunmen invade Industrial Site establishment

The police are hunting for a group of men who while armed with guns, invaded an establishment at the Ruimveldt Industrial Site which is operated by Chinese nationals.

The News Room has been informed that the men invaded the premises, held up the employees and customers, and began to relieve them of their valuables.

It was during that ordeal two firearms were also taken away from the establishment. The gunmen also unleashed a brutal attack on workers who were on site at the time.

Crime Chief, Wendell Blanhum confirmed that a report was made to the police about the incident and that statements were taken in relation to the matter.

The Chinese nationals operate an auto repair establishment.

Security cameras in the environs of crime scene revealed that the bandits were all masked and were prepared to outnumber the workers of the establishment.

Establishments within the area have since expressed concern to the News Room about the lack of police patrol in the area.
