Body found at ‘C’ Field Sophia identified

The remains of a man discovered by police patrolling the ‘C’ Field Sophia access road on Saturday evening (June 24, 2017), has been identified.

According to the Guyana Police Force, the man who was lying on the roadway with a knife to his body has been identified as Trevor Doubling of lot 385 ‘C’ Field Sophia, East Coast Demerara (E.C.D.)

He is said to be 49 years old and a serviceman employed at B.K International.

Doubling was discovered clad in a dark coloured shirt, long black boots and blue jeans at the time of the discovery.

The ranks on the police patrol took the body to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) where he was pronounced dead.

The scene was re-visited by detectives who retrieved the knife and another object in close proximity to where the remains was discovered.

Subsequently, several other persons were also questioned between on Saturday night and Sunday morning (June 25, 2017) but nothing of evidential value was acquired thus far.

The investigation continues.
