64-year-old Security Guard killed as thieves storm Business
At about 19:06 hrs on Friday night (June 30, 2017), security employed with Sentinel Security Service was shot and subsequently succumbed.
64-year-old Gerald Henry of ‘C’ Field Sophia, was standing next to the Cashier Counter at a business located at lot 8 Block x section ‘A’ Liliendaal when two males of African descent approached and attempted to relieve him of his service revolver.
A scuffle ensued, and a round was discharged.
The man fell to the ground, and the suspects relieved him of a .32 seven shooter revolver, property of Sentinel Security Service.
The suspects allegedly fled on foot in a western direction, while the victim was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where it was observed that he sustained a gunshot injury to the left side chest in the region of the heart.
He was subsequently pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made thus far.
