Dr Rupert Roopnaraine has withdrawn his letter of resignation.
This was disclosed moments ago by State Minister Joseph Harmon at a post cabinet press briefing.
Harmon said President David Granger has assured the government minister that efforts will be made to ensure his workload will not affect his health.
Dr Roopnaraine had told the News Room that he decided to resign because he felt his poor health would not have allowed him to effectively perform his duties as a
minister.
Dr Roopnaraine will serve as Minister of the newly created Public Service Ministry under the Ministry of the Presidency.
