The Guyana Amazon Warriors’ quest for a maiden Hero CPL title commenced on Wednesday at Providence with the pre-tournament encampment.
With the majority of the players in the country, the Warriors began their preparation in earnest with what Assistant Coach Esaun Crandon described as light day of work at the National Stadium.
Action will intensify in the coming days with a more stringent training regimen as the players look to whip themselves into shape for the opening game against St Kitts Patriots in Florida on August 5.
As part of the encampment, the Warriors are also expected to play two practice games, the dates of which are yet to be confirmed.
