Guyana lost 1-3 to Suriname in the CONCACAF Under-15 Boys Championship at the IMG Academy in Florida on Tuesday morning.

The Guyanese took an early lead through an 18th minute goal from Orville Daniels, but it was all Suriname thereafter as the Dutch-speaking nation tucked in three unanswered goals.

Fernando Heopel equalised for Suriname in the 20th minute, before a Faisijo Burnett double put the match beyond Guyana’s reach. Burnett netted in the 36th and 60th minutes. The Guyanese drew their opening match against St. Kitts on Monday 1-1.

Guyana will be in action again on Thursday (August 17) against St. Lucia at 09:00h.
